Job Description
Parts Manager is reporting to Senior Aftersales manager, is responsible for overseeing the Parts Department, ensuring efficient inventory management, and supporting both internal teams and external customers. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal stock levels of parts and accessories.
Monitor inventory turnover and minimize obsolete stock.
Minimize aged inventory and find ways to deal with it.
Coordinate with SPS and local suppliers for timely replenishment. Order Processing & Fulfillment: Ensure efficient order processing for dealers and internal customers.
Oversee backorders and work on expediting delayed shipments.
Work with logistics teams to optimize shipping times and costs. Dealer & Customer Service and Support: Maintain high level customer satisfaction rate.
Assist dealers with parts identification, availability, and technical inquiries.
Provide training and resources to dealership parts staff.
Address and resolve customer service issues related to parts. Pricing & Cost Control: Develop and implement pricing strategies to balance profitability and competitiveness.
Analyze market trends and adjust pricing accordingly.
Manage vendor negotiations to optimize costs. Sales & Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to develop promote and sell OEM or local sourced parts and accessories.
Develop promotional campaigns or special programs to boost sales.
Work with marketing to enhance product visibility and dealer engagement. Collaboration with Other Departments: Support the service department with parts for warranty repairs.
Work with R&D and engineering teams on parts availability for new models.
Coordinate with finance for budgeting and cost analysis. Data & Performance Analysis: Track and analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and dealer demand.
Use forecasting tools to predict future inventory needs.
Prepare reports for senior management on parts department performance. Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated on new product launches and discontinued parts. Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of powersports products.
Experience with inventory management systems (SAP, DMS, etc.).
Understanding of supply chain logistics and vendor relations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills for dealer interactions.
Strong analytical skills for forecasting and performance tracking.
Ability to lead and train a team.
