Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Control Center Shift Supervisor to join our Real-Time Operations Team at the Reporting and Performance Monitoring Center (RPMC) in Scottsdale, AZ. This team monitors and controls 10 GW of utility-scale renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The Supervisor will oversee Operations Specialists on shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power plant operations
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of plant systems and SCADA operations
• Working knowledge of NERC, ERCOT, WECC, CAISO, PJM, and SPP regulations
• Available for 24/7 on-call support as needed
• Leadership or supervisory experience managing direct reports

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Ability to analyze operational data for financially informed decisions
• Familiarity with highly regulated environments and critical systems
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide Real-Time Operations Specialists during active shifts
• Monitor real-time activity and performance of wind, solar, and BESS assets
• Identify abnormal conditions and assist in timely troubleshooting
• Manage root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement efforts
• Conduct periodic operator log reviews for accuracy and compliance
• Perform acceptance testing of RPMC tools and applications
• Support commissioning of new projects and operational onboarding
• Implement quality control and compliance procedures
• Respond to RFIs, data requests, and additional assigned duties
