Job Summary:

Dashing Diva is seeking a strategic Online Retail Planner/Buyer to join our growing eCommerce team. This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, planning, and digital sales—responsible for forecasting, purchasing, and managing the product assortment across our DTC website. An ideal candidate will focus on business insights, analytics, consumer shopping behavior and sell-through while driving conversion, scaling fast and meeting both consumer demand and robust sales goals.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of assortment strategies across all product categories sold online, including core SKUs (evergreen items), seasonal/limited edition SKUs, promotional drops, and online-exclusive collections. Collaborate closely with product development and marketing to align assortment decisions with brand priorities, launch calendars, and customer insights.
• Build and maintain demand forecasts at SKU and category levels using historical data, sales trends, and marketing calendars. Translate forecasts into purchase orders, ensuring optimal inventory flow to meet sales goals while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
• Analyze sales performance and inventory levels to inform buying decisions and product strategy as well as online promotional strategy and markdown cadence.
• Partner with eCommerce and marketing teams to evaluate product readiness for sales events, propose product offers, and develop inventory strategies to support online-exclusive promotions, sitewide sales, and clearance pushes..
• Monitor weekly/monthly selling reports, identifying risks, opportunities, and key trends.
• Make data-driven recommendations on product performance, markdowns, reorders, and SKU rationalization.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative to align promotional strategies and seasonal launches.
• Manage open-to-buy and ensure inventory is aligned with financial targets.
• Coordinate with operations and fulfillment teams to troubleshoot stockouts or delays.
• Track and evaluate vendor performance and product profitability.
• Maintain product and assortment information for internal systems and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or related/equivalent field
• 3–5 years experience in planning, buying, or merchandising—preferably in a DTC or eCommerce environment
• Strong analytical skills with deep Excel knowledge and experience with planning tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Netsuite, or similar)
• Familiarity with digital commerce platforms like Shopify is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly dynamic digital business
