The studio Associate Stylist role is a creative role, responsible for helping Sr/Stylist execute the elevated look and feel of the Abercrombie & Fitch brand. This role will support the styling team on the e-commerce studio set, in stores, and be a key member on a collaborative team responsible for establishing a strong styling point of view for A&F. They will report to the Sr Stylist/Stylist and partner with: Marketing (Creative/Art Direction), Visual, Design, and Merchandising to thread the brand styling perspective throughout each touchpoint. The Studio Omni Stylist is an expert in industry trends and brings a unique point-of-view to styling a classic brand in a modern and commercial way that allows A&F’s personality to shine through online and in-store.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Create and manage daily and monthly shotlists to ensure accuracy of prio’d items and set date
  • Maintain specific daily shot counts regardless of additions, drops or changes to the shotlist and communicate to Sr/Stylist, Art Direction and photography
  • Prep clothing for shoot days by locating appropriate sizes based on model measurements, laundering clothing and ensure rack is 100% ready for studio shoot day
  • Assist on set during on-figure photography, including fittings and garment preparation
  • Pull and maintain an “extra’s” rack for in the moment pivots while assisting on set
  • Document all styled looks and shot count for each day and relay any pertinent information such as PRF’s/Jira’s to Sr/Stylist, Art Direction and Photographer
  • Pull and organize all samples based on set date ensuring all available product is organized and displayed before styling begins
  • Schedule outfitting rack reviews with Sr/Stylist and share out to leadership team for feedback
  • Obtain fit notes from merchants to ensure garments fit true to design during on figure shooting
  • Attend all walkthroughs to provide support and notate any changes to styled looks
  • Communicate and reshoot information regarding styling daily to Sr/Stylist, Art Direction and Photographer
  • Help oversee and guide freelance assistants to ensure maximized productivity
  • Determine the number of days necessary to shoot each season based on set date and shot type, then meet with production and Sr/Stylist to align on days and models needed
  • Seasonally pull and help provide inspirational images to help Sr/Stylist create on trend outfitting
  • Keep styling space organized and clean at all times
  • Assist and help on editorial shoot days when help is needed
  • Assist and help with social content and outfitting when help is needed
  • Attend PRF and selling meetings and recap Sr/Stylist any actionable points for week or month

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • 3+ years experience in assisting ecommerce styling in a fast-paced, cross-functional team
  • Experience with menswear is a plus
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and passionate about branding and the e-commerce landscape
  • Must have strong communication skills: team-orientated, positive, collaborative, proactive and business-savvy
  • Desire to stay up to date on e-commerce industry trends and other retail brands as they pertain to the A&F’s competitive landscape
